Drei-Seen-Tour über den Wilden Kermeter
in Schleiden/EifelSchöne Wanderung über den Kermeter vorbei an dem Rursee, dem Obersee und dem Urftsee.

Wann solltet ihr Starten:
Der Wanderparkplatz am Wilden Kermeter ist wirklich sehr groß. Ihr dürftet fast immer einen Parkplatz finden. Wir waren unter der Woche um 10:30 dort und hatten den Platz fast für uns alleine. Am Wochenende und bei schönem Wetter solltet ihr jedoch kein Risiko eingehen und möglichst früh starten. Vor allem im Sommer ist die Eifel ein sehr beliebtes Wandergebiet und es kann dort relativ voll werden. Deswegen startet früh, genießt die Ruhe beim Wandern und fahrt nach Hause, wenn alle anderen erst kommen!
Schuhwerk:
Definitiv mit Wanderschuhen starten! Die Strecke hat einige Offroad-Abschnitte die ordentliches Schuhwerk erfordern! Vor allem der Aufstieg in der zweiten Hälfte der Wanderung sollte nur mit guten Wanderschuhen erfolgen.
Schwierigkeitsgrad:
Von der Länge und den Höhenmetern sieht die Wanderroute erstmal nicht sehr anspruchsvoll aus. Nach der Hälfte der Tour habt ihr jedoch einen ziemlich langen und steilen Anstieg vor euch, der es wirklich in sich hat. Das sollte nicht unterschätzt werden und sollte nur mit Wanderschuhen und einer gewissen Trittsicherheit erfolgen. Der Rest der Tour ist wirklich gut zu meistern und ihr habt genug schöne Plätzchen wo ihr ein Picknick einlegen könnt. Eine gewisse Grundkondition sollte auf jeden Fall vorhanden sein!
Highlights der Wanderroute:
1. Kermeter:
Wir beginnen unsere Wanderung am Wanderparkplatz wilder Kermeter. Der Kermeter ist ein Höhenzug in der Eifel und ist von drei Seen umgeben. Im Norden und Westen befinden sich der Rursee, im Südwesten der Obersee und im Süden vom Urftsee und der Urfttalsperre.
Direkt zu Beginn der Wanderung bietet es sich an den wilden Pfad zu laufen. Der Pfad führt direkt durch den Wald und bietet viele Informationen und Unterhaltung für groß und klein. Unter anderem gibt es einen tollen Hindernispfad wo auch die kleinsten ihren Spaß haben werden. Der komplette Wilde Pfad sowie große Teile des Kermeters (inkl. dem wunderschönen Aussichtspunkt Hirschley) sind barrierefrei angelegt.
Der Kermeter wird größtenteils sich selbst überlassen. Deswegen erwartet euch hier ein sehr naturnaher Wald mit vielem Totholz und tollen Wanderwegen. Der Mensch greift hier nicht in den Wald ein, womit sich ein Großteil des Waldes im Nationalpark Eifel über einen langen Zeitraum zu einem richtigen Urwald entwickeln soll. Ein Traum für jeden Natur- und Wanderliebhaber!
2. Rursee, Obersee, Urftsee:
Der erste See den wir nach dem Abstieg vom Kermeter erreichen ist der Urftsee mit der Urftstaumauer. Vom Aussichtspunkt an der Urfttalsperre könnt ihr einen Blick auf Vogelsang IP erhaschen. Dies ist eine ehemalige Anlage der Nationalsozialisten und diente damals der Ausbildung des NSDAP Führungskaders. Heutzutage kann die Anlage als Museum besucht werden und ist immer noch ein beeindruckendes Bauwerk aus einer dunklen Zeit.
Nachdem wir die Urfttalsperre verlassen haben folgen wir für einige Kilometer dem Urftsee auf einem schönen Uferweg. Kurz bevor wir wieder den Aufstieg in den Kermeter wagen trifft der Obersee von links auf den Urftsee und beide Flüsse fließen nachher weiter in die Rur.
Am Obersee befindet sich ein schönes kleines Café, das Haus am Obersee. Nach Corona kann man hier hoffentlich wieder in schönster Eifel-Lage einkehren und ein Stückchen Kuchen mit einem leckeren Kaffee zur Stärkung genießen.
Alle Seen sind wirklich wunderschön und umgeben von dicht bewachsenen Hügeln und Wäldern. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen und abschalten!
3. Eifel-Blick Hirschley:
Zum Ende unserer Wanderung erwartet uns nochmal ein tolles Highlight. Vom Aussichtspunkt Hirschley habt ihr einen traumhaften Ausblick über den Rurstausee und Woffelsbach. Hier könnt ihr außerdem perfekt eine Pause bei einem kleinen Picknick machen und die Wanderung schön ausklingen lassen.
Der Aussichtspunkt ist ebenfalls teil vom Barrierefreien Wanderweg „Wilder Kermeter“ und bietet z. B. eine Rampe für Rollstulfahrer. Eine sehr schöne Sache wie wir finden!
Unsere Meinung zu dieser Route:
Wer eine der schönsten Ecken der Eifel erleben möchte ist hier genau richtig. Im Herbst und Winter etwas trist und kahl zeigt sich die Drei-Seen-Tour über den wilden Kermeter im Frühling und Sommer von seiner traumhaft schönen Seite.
Überall gibt es saftig grüne Wälder und Wanderpfade zu entdecken. Die Wanderpfade haben es teilweise echt in sich und brauchen sich nicht zu verstecken. Hier geht es über Stock und Stein teilweise ordentliche Steigungen hinauf. Im Gegenzug dazu gibt es aber auch genug Abschnitte, wo ihr euch entspannen und einfach nur die Ruhe genießen könnt. Jeder knackige Aufstieg, den ihr auf der Tour macht, lohnt sich und wird mit tollen Wegen und wunderschönen Ausblicken belohnt.
Die Wanderung lässt sich, wenn die Schiffe ab Mai wieder fahren, auch super mit einer kleinen Bootstour verbinden.
Eine tolle Tour für Eifel Einsteiger und auch für Kinder mit dem wilden Pfad ein schönes Erlebnis!
