Wann solltet ihr Starten:
Bei schönem Wetter und am Wochenende / Feiertagen auf jeden Fall früh morgens. Der Parkplatz ist zwar sehr groß aber die Haard ist ein sehr beliebtes Wandergebiet. Wenn das Wetter nicht ganz so toll ist seid ihr deutlich flexibler und findet immer einen Parkplatz.
Schuhwerk:
Definitiv mit Wanderschuhen starten! Die Strecke hat einige Offroad-Abschnitte, die nicht besonders anspruchsvoll sind, jedoch ist festes Schuhwerk auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Hat es die Tage vorher geregnet, kann es auch schonmal matschig werden.
Schwierigkeitsgrad:
Die Wanderroute hat, bis auf den kleinen Anstieg zum Feuerwachturm, kaum Höhenmeter aufzuweisen. Wenn es mal Berg hochgeht dann nur mit einem sehr leichten Anstieg. Auch von der Länge her ist die Route keine allzu große Herausforderung. Die Route hat keine großen Anforderungen an euch und ihr könnt sie ganz entspannt laufen.
Highlights der Wanderroute:
1. Die Haard :
Diese Route hat nur ein ganz großes Highlight und das ist die Haard selber! Dieses riesige, unbesiedelte Waldgebiet gehört zu den größten zusammenhängenden Waldgebieten im Ruhrgebiet. Nebenan liegt die hohe Mark, welche sich ebenfalls wunderbar zum Wandern anbietet.
Die Haard ist geprägt von einer riesigen Baumvielfalt, einer reichen und abwechslungsreichen Tierwelt und ausgezeichneten Wanderwegen. Die beste Jahreszeit für eine Wanderung ist natürlich der Frühling und der Sommer. Hier fühlt man sich als wäre man in einem Urwald unterwegs. Durch die weichen Waldböden und vielen sandigen Wanderwegen ist die Wanderroute sehr gelenkschonend und angenehm zu laufen! Selten haben wir uns auf Wanderwegen so wohlgefühlt wie hier!
Viele Teile der Haard werden sich selbst überlassen. Totholz bleibt liegen und bietet so den Waldbewohnern wichtigen Lebensraum. Selbst im Winter ist die Haard durch die Moosbewachsenen Waldböden und Tothölzer ein grünes Wandererlebnis.
Ein Highlight welches zu erwähnen wäre ist der Feuerwachturm auf dem Rennberg. Hier lohnt sich der Aufstieg zur Spitze wirklich. Ihr habt einen tollen Ausblick über das Ruhrgebiet und das komplette Waldgebiet der Haard.
Auch für Hundebesitzer und Familien mit Kindern ist diese Wanderroute ein tolles Erlebnis.
Unsere Meinung zu dieser Route:
Eine wunderschöne Wanderung durch eins der schönsten Waldgebiete in ganz NRW. Hier kommt vor allem im Sommer und im Frühling richtiges Urwald-Feeling auf. Von Riesenfarn und Urwaldlich- überwuchertem Totholz gesäumte Wälder begleiten euch auf eurer kompletten Wanderung. Zwischendurch gibt es schön gestaltete Lernstationen in denen ihr noch tolle Informationen über den Wald sammeln könnt.
Die Wanderwege sind zu ca. 90 % naturbelassen, sehr weich und lassen sich super angenehm laufen.
Die Haard ist zu jeder Jahreszeit einen Ausflug wert, auch mit Hund und Kind!
